RT, One thing to remember if you are looking to get into the boat market w/out getting a bad rep. Let's say you start selling Bare Boats and you leave it up to the buyer to finish. The buyer obviously trying to save$$$. The END RESULT? Your name is still on the hull. If a Buyer does a bad job finishing the boat, it will reflect back onto the company and put a vision on how the company does things. No-one will know you didn't build the boat from start to finish. Just something to think about.

Puder,

I'm in NYC, on 12th Street. Guys, there is a Superboat that performs to these specs. The price is very reasonable, at $64,000. Sharkey brought up a great point about letting someone else finish a boat with your name on it. I f the boat looks like hell, then it's still your name. This is why I think I would rig the boat and allow the buyer to paint or finish the boat their way.

How much for a 24 footer? :D :D

Will you take $31,500 and throw in a triple axle trailer??? Just kidding. I would definately consider this package only after it has been proven a performer. I mean things like magazine tests, owners reviews, are there any on the race course, etc. Would hate to drop the 40 G's only to end up on the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico because it fell apart.

I tested the 30' Superboat (496) w/two people (450lbs) and ran 75/76 on speedo, owner said it was 2mph off, so 73/74 mph. John is offering this boat for 64k, I don't see how you can beat this price.

Whats the cost of building with plastic ,I remember seeing several smaller boats at last year shows made of solid plastic (extruded?) maybe this process is alot cheaper.

very intrested,

I like your idea, and yes I was around for the high performance cars you speak of. It would be nice to get into a boat that your happy with and then equip it to your own taste and be able to do it a little at a time without breaking the bank. I would have to say definetly a yes.

Centurian makes a twin step 30' hybrid performance ski boat that does 70 with a 496.

Get rid of the gaudy and get back to boating. I like the idea.

I like the idea of a bare bones go-fast. I'd buy one.

I am getting some good response so far. I appreciate it. Do you guys like this boat as a secondary boat or as your primary boat?
