Cool, Sharkey. By the way, I have clicked and seen your pics. I'm starting to think that the cost of this theoretical boat is starting to rise, but just a bit.

randy,it sure is
|
Jim congrats on the new formula!!! Do you still have the bertram??? Honestly i am really quite suprised you didn't get a superboat!!!
|
I like the idea but would want to build my own motor. I dont understand how Merc justifies the price of their engines. The drives I can understand, but adapting a automotive engine to marine use isnt that difficult. And dont tell me your paying for the warranty because the price is so high you could build and blow up more engines during the warranty period and still come out ahead.

puder, the bertram is gone,i wanted a superboat but the formula suited my needs better. :)

Cool Jim. John's 30 is awesome. I remember you saqying that you needed more of a family boat.

Intolerant1
I totally agree with you. Any new boat I would purchase , I would try buying it without power. |
So, in other words, if you guys could get your hands on a bare bones 30'boat that was rigged, minus the engine and drive, at a really reasonable price, say $20k or so, this might be the perfect scenario?

allright randy what's the deal?
are you working on somthing? |
Sorta of a 'KIT BOAT' idea like they do for cars. How would it be registered and insured? No one will finance it if it is not complete/running. The used baja's (older than '94) are what you are talking about, under 35K.
