I used to have 5 Tmaxes. 3 electric and two gas.

One word of caution on the gas, buy a Fail safe switch!!
Meaning that once it losses radio reception that it closes the throttle!!!
Otherwise you will have to be going for a LONG walk/run
This goes for both water and land use. I am not sure what to do about air

I have a TMAXX 2.5, no problems at all with it, starts every time, and runs great. I also have a electric 450 size helicopter, my next one will be a Raptor 30 v2 or a 50 titan or v2

I have a Revo myself (with some mods of course).

I started out with a Jato 3.3, thing was just viscous, 65MPH, bone stock.

I think it is a great hobby ...i have a traxxas jato 3.3 (65mph) and a aquacraft supervee 27 (40 mph)........ love them both .....I was thinking about selling the boat but decided against it, it is tooo fun.
I am not sure where you are located but if you are near the slidell area, aggressive hobbies on gause is a great dealer and parts store.

I have 2 little cars and a savage but the best one i think is a fifth scale truck with a 2 stroke. it starts everytime and no glow plugs to deal with and its just as fast as the nitro cars. I had a revo and sold it and it was a good truck probable the best for the money.
