I won't throw wet blankets yet...
and make assumptions about new control of the site
but I bet we all have the same gut feeling
the best things always come to an end, don't they?
thanks for the ride Steve. It's been a good one and part of most everyday of my life for 5+ years.

Congrats to Steve, hopefully he realized the full value of his work.
I'll bet there will be changes though, the UC section is likely to go and I wouldn't be surprised to see stricter rules in the Bilge (corporate ownership).
Still I think the site should continue to prosper.

Wow, you could have blown me over with a feather to hear this news.
Congratulations Steve, all your hardwork as paid off and been recognized. Like others have said Ian and I have made a lot of friends through this board, it's amazing how many we have met in person and how many runs and events we have been to that without OSO might never have happened.
To the new owners if you are reading this: PLEASE DON'T TRY TO CHANGE MUCH Keep in mind the reason it is the largest web site in the industry is because we like our site just the way it is.

1/2 of my post above disappeared when I posted- might have screwed up while I was spell checking.
Not going to type it all out again but wanted to say thanks Steve, hope all your hard work paid off and that you can go back to enjoying being on the water again.
OSO has changed the entire industry- revolutionary!
Cheers

This has been a great site with a wealth of information and knowledge and I'm sure it will continue to be that way. I have also had the pleasure of meeting a lot of members and enjoying many poker runs that I would not have known about without this site. Everyone should remember that in this great internet age, if they change things in a way that we don't like, someone can start a new site and drag the members over there
I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Steve at the APBA's in Savannah about 5 or 6 years ago. He has done a lot for this community and I'm sure it would take a lot for someone to totally screw it up but it is possible.
Here's to Steve...I for one hope he drained them out of some cash
Everyone should get ready for a LOT of fountain commercials

I'd guess that when Internet Brands files either the 8K for this transaciton or their 10Q/10K, that we'll all be able to see what we're all worth! They'll likely disclose the purchase price in their public filings.
Oh yah, and lets be sure to keep the naked ladies! HAHAHA!
