From a business perspective, probably a good move. Time will tell about the rest.

This doesn't look like a Trick job. Nobody is getting burned here..... yet. Can't say I'll be in a big rush to pony up advertising dollars to a corp. entity. I never did mind putting gas in the OSO Cigarette but I'm not sure I like the idea of paying the IB board of directors to sit around and think of ways do dumb down OSO.

I don't blame Steve but I see all the personality of this board going right down the tubes.

Well if it is true I would like to thank Steve one more time for all he has done for our sport! I have been around since Jeffery owned the site and Steve has done a wondeful job with handling this crowd! The site has changed alot since the beginning and while I havent been the biggest poster here I have learned alot and made great friends! We have a good group here most of the time!
I hope things don't change too much with new ownership but it looks like a larger corp has stepped in and I would imagine some changes comming hopefully just for the better!

Hopefully Steve made a good chunk on it! Good luck. Hope to see you again at LOTO.

Why?

Did someone say we couldn't say what we've been saying?
As long as the servers don't get the hiccups, what's the big deal?

Steve ran this site w/ personality and it was his baby. Now it's in corporate hands? Time will tell.

Yep, Thanks Steve and the whole gang!

Like I said, it's been a great ride and you guys have affected this industry in a profound way. Happy to have been a part of what I'm sure will be an offshore legend someday.

I don't think anyone has the right to ask what he made off the site, it's his personal business. I'm sure any of us would do the same thing if the opportunity presented itself and more power to him.

It's just sad to see the end of an era.

Are the moderators the same? Can I have the new owners cell phone number please? Will he pull my boat trailer for 200 miles for free?

On the bright side of things; I see that IB is hiring moderators with an understanding of the forum environment .

Here's your chance to get paid to be on OSO all day.
