I talked to Steve quite a bit about OSO and 2008 before and as this whole thing was going down.
This was a very, VERY, VERY tough decision for him. He's going through quite a bit with OSO and beyond, and the emotion of all of this was literally taxing his health. This place is his "baby", and letting go of the ownership was in NO way an easy decision; regardless of the business aspects.
After he bought OSO from Jeffrey Cheng, he took this site from ground zero all the way to the absolute TOP of the game. That’s a helluva lot of work, blood, sweat, tears, gearlube, and Titos tosses into the water.
Expect more formal announcements in the next few days. Steve is still, and will continue to remain in 100% control of OSO for a period of time that is yet to be determined. He committed to sponsoring the 2008 OSO Winter Chill-Out before this went down, and followed through. As of right now, the OSO Miami Boat Show Party is still a go.
More to come, but don’t expect OSO to go to hell in a handbasket.

Steve,
Great job on building your business and congratulations on selling it. Hope your quality of life goes up a few notches and that you get to enjoy more boating in 08.

I don't think a press release in another forum was the ideal way Steve would have liked everyone to find out.
