The downside of high HP is resale. Very, very, VERY small market of people these days are looking for high HP custom power.

The Hustler that I posted is immaculate. Low maintenance. Easy resale or trade.

Cat may be a harder resale. And a high power single will for sure be a harder resale. Also cats can be more dangerous in the wrong hands. Either way I would suggest you take the Tres Martin course. And yes you can finance a used boat for 20yrs.

Best advice yet. Don't know what previous boating experience you have but these boats will definitely kill or mame you and/or others if you don't respect and understand them. I raced tunnel boats for years and I can assure you, at 80 mph and above, things happen VERY quickly. Please be safe. Tres' course would be money well spent. In fact, you may not be able to get insurance without it, depending on what you buy.
