Ya its me, the so called OL hater (not really they are awsome boats). Had a chance to meet Mike F out here in Nor Cal for the Big Cat PR last August, and actually showed him the way on the tricky CA delta map. Awsome guy, And Ive determined that Reggie is just much more serious into the record and Racing stuff, Mike likes to have more fun, which to each is own. I mean Reggies a Tar Heel (UNC) so hes competitive. Ive met Michael Jordan and he would cut your heart out and feed it to you on the court. I just think Reggie takes it as one of the most competitive sports in the world, and lets face it boat racing is not one of them, It has alot more to do with fun.

Two totaly different people

i own a fountain, love it, but its a production boat, OL is in a whole nother class

Slap a pair of 1075's in one of those Fountains in a caparable size to OL's 46 and let Powerboat Mag do their performance test!

Then you will see which boat is faster and more effecient in design.

"Fastest Vee-Hull" is kind of like "Hottest Fat Chick." At least OL is building a cat now. I think it is hilarious how much money is wasted on HP in vee-hulls because guys wives won't let them buy cats!

Those were not stock 1075's. They were modified to 1200+. :D

My 46 OL came from the factory, with the GPS recall 124.7. And it is a totally loaded 46, with Mahogany wood in the cabin, refrig, generator, AC, Home theatre, you name it, it's on there. Stock factory 1075's. I can tell you too, I can run that boat with people and gear, 120 mph, without trouble, and very stable. I bought the boat because I loved the cabin, cockpit, looks, size, etc. Have to tell you from personal experience, it is fast. Hit the throttles at 80, and it literally sets you back, pretty cool. Even at 100 mph, it gets on the last step, it takes off. Cool experience. May not hold the kilo record, but has awesome drivable speed. My 2 cents.

In my opinion the fastest hull would be found running equal length boats (47lightning, 37 OL :evilb:) with equal power, same drives, and see who is actually faster. Adding horsepower will make a brick fast.
