Actually Chrysler is not german owned and never was. The two company's merged and if you knew anything about the auto industry Chrysler is now 100% american owned. american based Cerbius bought out Diamlers shares last year. agreed. going back to my original question. why does evenruide(on there infomecial) compair there 2 strokes to all other 4 stokes? It is obvious there would be a wieght difference.

They do it because the market for outboards is going 4-stroke and they are showing 2-stroke technology is efficient. How many other outboard lines are alowed on europs lakes. And who said they dont make counter rotating gearcases is wrong.

finally back to business. i must admit if i buy a new engine it will be an e-tec. i have a few friends with them ( flawless ). mercury is fine but evinrude is my choice.

Since you are such a smart azz you may want to spell Cerberus correctly. While I forgot about that merger, the point still stands. haha. yes i work there, but i have a evinrude on one of my boats and a suzuki on the other. they were there when i bought them. granted i got a 19 ft. cuddy and a 24 ft. flat bottom. mercury has always had the speed though.
