What is a 540 Hawk?????

Had the Hawk 540's in a 1986 Cig 35. They were called the 575 package. 575 HP. Actually, I think they underrated the power of them. And, they also had the SSM III's with the package, and mine had Stelling exhaust on it from the factory.

Jenny's Express, 1986 Cig was built with them. If memory derves me correctly, they originally dyno'd at 585 HP on one engine and 597 on the other.

It was a 35 and was Gray's 2nd 35. This one had a race fairing, He had it built to his spec's. Ralph Martin had Everglades at the time, he was the dealer. Gary kept the boat for two years then had Mark McManus built a 41 Apache Jenny's Express.
I beleive Hawk called the engines 600's. Craig Barrie owned Hawk at the time. In fact speaking of Flatdecks, Craig's father George (who at that time had sold Faberge and was well in to his 70's) had his own 38 Cigarette flatdeck as well as an 80' Hatteras MY 'Toy George'. He kept them both at Turnberry Isle.
