ramada inn grayling has a pool and bar , trails out of there lead to houghtin lake to the south and frederic/gaylord to the north. trail in gaylord tend to get beat up the worst on weekends. kalkaska(four seasons hotel) is also a good choice from there you can go to traverse city to the west,(i was on them last weekend and they were perfect) fife lake to the south, gaylord to the east, mancelona, east jordan to the north. gaylord has the best nightlife but you better like bumpy trails. I ll be up there that weekend pm me if you have any questions.

bill63 02-07-2008 02:45 PM

o yea almost forgot if you stay in kalkaska your only 15 min to the casino as well as the crossroads bar(nice establishment thay has great intertanment, if you know what i mean )

We've had a bunch of snow the last couple days. The forecast was for some snow but we got way more than they predicted. 1-2 feet all over

You should come and check out our area and do the Boyne Thunder poker run. We have some of the best boating in the world, awesome snowmobiling, great skiing, beautiful resorts and we even have a Casino in case you have some money left over and you want to donate it to the Indians like Wrinkface does.

JB4Boyne 02-28-2008 07:10 PM

The guy you sold the boat to is Frolic, he participates every year and so does Nykamp's...Well, at least when Steve has motors in his boat.
As far as the Glass man, I couldn't tell you, thank god I have not need one. There are a lot of marinas around here.

Nykamp 02-28-2008 08:41 PM

Tons of snow here in irons we just had to have a Cat backhoe open up our driveway and it took him 3 hours to do it.

Headed to Lake George in 30 minutes. Over 2 feet on the ground and another 6-10 coming tonight. I haven't played in powder this year. Can't wait. Pic from last year after the V-day blizzard.

bmanafort 03-01-2008 07:42 AM

I am in Wilmington, VT (mount snow) and we got a foot of snow last night. I have to go outside in a couple of minutes and shovel

Audiofn 03-01-2008 07:47 AM

We are getting more now. I will try and post a picture of the end of my driveway. I bet that we have a pile almost 15 feet high!! I had to have a guy come over with a back hoe to push all the snow back. I am going to try and take two days off end of next week and ride.
