Heat gun has done the trick for me more than once!
Then solvent for glue residual.
Good luck!

Go to a napa or local paint store and ask for a 3m graphic eraser. Thee are a rubber type wheel that goes on a drill. It removes the glue as well as the graphic with NO damage to the gel. They are around $30. You will have about 1/16 the time than using Heat or chemicals.

Mac tools sells a off brand for around $20

You will be amazed at how well they work!

Beat me to it.

I use them all the time at work. We get ours from our paint supply company. I have used them on boats also with good results.

Thanks..
But if I use a drill near the boat, I'll end up putting a hole in it.

WOW.. what a concept.. unforseen incident for the insurance dudes. :)

All my problems are solved.. Thanks to OSO..

Now.. I just have to skip the country since the ins. Co's have a contract on my head.. after my recent claim... now holes in the hull..

Trust me if you end up putting a hole in the boat using the eraser you have really made a big mistake. Very easy to use and you don't use the drill straight at the boat but sideways to it.
