Doesn't sound crazy at all. There is a video on youtube of some rivers that are having the same problem. Apparantly its a wildlife disaster and they are threataning all U.S. waterways. I did see some people making money doing shooting guides. Kind of like skeet shooting only with these carp. Looks like a lot of fun, but I'd rather be boating. I hope they get it all sorted out.

They are a problem here on the IL river too.....theres an electric fence that the state installed to try and keep them out of getting into Lake Mi....if they happen to somehow cross then their backup plan is to poison the entire river for a set amt of miles!!!

Went on a Poker Run on the IL River last summer and those SOB's are alive and doing well in the Peoria area of the river.
Quite the acrobats and 5-10' jumps out of the water from the wacked out attack fishys was fairly common.
Slimey SOB's as well..
