We spoke with Barbara in Miami and this boat is suppose to be a work of art, anyone see it?????:evilb::evilb::evilb:
|

|

|
looks like something out of a fast and the furious movie
guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder |
I really like the looks of that boat
|
I think its cool as hell. Cant wait til it gets back to town to see it up close :cool-smiley-027:
|
Yeeaah.. I saw it.. I really got a cick out of the speakers in the engine compartement/bilge.
Is "Mr. Baja" using it as his cabin??? That made no sence what so ever, unless "problems" are anticipated and the mechaninc needed some entertaimnent. The rest of the boat was pretty cool. |

I think it makes perfect sense. It is Baja Poker Run Boat and it will be in runs and on display all over the country. They will have the hatch open and there will be a lot of heads stuck down there checking out the details, so why not have some tunes in there as well? I think it is a great thing that Baja is doing by taking it around the country, I wish all the manufactures would do the same. I just wish I could get a job transporting one and driving it in the Poker Runs for them:D |

David |
THAT makes sense:D, just think who ever buys it at the end of the year will have tunes while changing the oil:p:D next season or at the docks showing off the motors with the hatch open nicw call on that one. art
|
I like it,battery steps:D
|
those bilge steps and lexan scoops are the coolest things on there..

that thing is bad azz!
|
Looking at that brings a 4 B's split decision to mind.
Bucyrus' Bodacious Baja Boat OR Booze Boats Babes Bikinis... |
Looks cool- but the yellow on the motors was a BAD choice. I would have chosen a different color for sure!
|
Damn, that looks just like a Cig and OL . :D:D
Very nice. Is this a poker run hull or a tricked out OL hull? (I'm thinking Baja has carbon fiber poker run hull) |
I really liked the "Oh Sh!t" handles on the rear sit-down bolsters.
The rest was a nice piece. |
I looked it over at the show also. I liked it too. I didn't like the lexan in the hatch. I did like the battery steps. The nicest Baja I have ever seen. IMO
|
the battery steps was an awsome touch. the only thing i didnt like was the yellow 700s. they should have had one red and one blue like the rest of the boat. but i would say it was the coolist baja i have seen yet.

YEA thats what I am talking about, I cannot wait to see this BEAST in person. Talk about uping the game.
WILL:evilb::evilb::evilb: |
It is very nice, unlike Poker face, which in my opinion, was one of the most hideous paint jobs out there.

(I'm thinking Baja has carbon fiber poker run hull) Standard layup but 1500 lbs lighter then a normal 40 Outlaw because the cuddy is bare and a few tricks on the bulkheads plus it has a knotched transom and a pad bottom that have proved to be effective on the 30 and the 35 Outlaws. Go over to the Baja forum and there are a lot of pictures and additional details. It is a SWEET ride. |

Just remember that these tour boats are over the top for promotion. Most people would never own one but they are doing what they set out to to and that is bring attention to Baja and show off what they build. |
I think it would have been cool if the Motors matched the colors for that side of the boat. I remember seeing a 30 @ the Cleveland Show that was done this way...Killer Looking Boat!!!!!
|
What becomes of these when done? I rode on Lucky 7 last yr, but never heard where it ended up at. I thought L7 was the chits, now this. US1 likeys! :D
There must be 6 batteries in that boat. edited: 6 batteries for all those amps! |
It was beautiful. The 7-amp install in the cabin was interesting.
I didn't like the Lexan on the hatch. It was pretty scratched up... I know it will be buffed out but it would drive me crazy. I did like being able to look right into the motors with the hatch down. All in all very nice! |
I work for Sabic(formerly GE) in the sheet department that makes the lexan sheets. Lexan does scratch very easily. Baja must not have purchased a marguard sheet(coated sheet that resists scratches).

Did everyone miss the fact that this boat has two different graphic designs on each side? Thats the whole ' Split Decision ' theme here. One side looks different than the other. I think its a great new fresh idea. And makes perfect sence for a poker run boat. Other boaters will think there are two 40' Baja's running :-) .
Great Job Baja. |
You do have to see this boat to apreciate it. For the record, I like the Starboard side graphics better.. :-)
|
Jeff reread my post. That's what I mean about engine colors.

Great Job Baja. Very nice boat. |
I too am not a fan of the yellow motors, BUT, on a marketing standpoint, they are doing exactly what they are supposed to do, GET NOTICED!
I am in awe of the boat, as in all the poker run boats. The detail and outside the box engineering, custom touches translate to new ideas for our boats. I have rode in Poker Face and Lucky 7's, GREAT BOATS. With the diet, pad, notch and 700's this boat should go through the water very well. I am looking forward to riding in it, as well as, compare our boats side by side. (only problem, is mine will now look pretty blah!):evilb: GREAT JOB BAJA! |
We saw the boat on monday very nice Baja really stepped it up this time I like the graphics and dash. They put thier best foot foward to keep up with the big guys:D

Great Job Baja. That is so they can run circles around other boats and not make them feel to bad!!! They will pass you on the other side the 2nd time and you will think, DAMN! there are 2 of them bad AZZ Baja's out here today.:hitfan: |
