He was telling me that he decided he needed a bigger boat because we both ran in some rough water two years ago and he couldn't keep up with me! He's an admitadley competitive guy so it really bothered him that a slow old resin bucket walked away from him.

I would agree, try both 1st. Both are nice rides, but with different personalities. I'd give up some speed for ride, and lean to the Sonic.
