Doha, Qatar Class 1 and Class 3 Pics

I am working in Bahrain, and took the day off to go to Qatar,
$116 roundtrip and a 30 minute flight each way! I arrived at
8:30 am, and had the Taxi drop me off by the Class 3 Dry pits. then caught a ride to the Class 1 Drypits. A big Thank you to Nigel Quilter for getting me, my access credentials.
It was good seeing U.S. Racers Gary Ballough and Dan Lawrence, as well as Jon Maas, who is the new Crew Chief for the Class 1 Jotun boat. the following pics are of the dry pits, morning practice session.

How did Spirit of UAE run ?

They came in 5th, first time in the boat, and racing together for both crew. Class 3 has some top notch teams, and they are all hungry for a win. 20 teams battled it out!

Great pic's thanks for sharing them with us.... We have a new project later this year over in the U.A.E. and it will give me some pic's to share with my tech...They always get a little nervous when the Middle East is mentioned..

how far did spirit of uae finish behind 1st , and then behind gary and dan ?

I dont know the times, but the al Boom boat was fast, I mean real fast. Gary and Dan were in third, until second to last lap when the Marina Boat passed them, it is also brand new and was the first race on that boat.

Thanks for the pics! What kind of boat is the all white class 1 boat? Victory or Mystic?

It is a Victory boat as well with V-8's for power.
