Thank you all for the kind words. I am excited about the Cigarette, but sad to leave the Apache. I put my heart and soul into this Apache and it will certainly be sad to let it go.
That is one of the cool things about our Apache. I had a friend that owns a Top Gun get in there and say that our bow was like looking down a bowling alley.
We measured the bow rail when we sent it out to get it powder coated this past summer and it was something like 26' long. It was all the UPS guy could do to get the box in his truck.

Though I had to push the plans back a week, the Apache left the driveway this morning for what will probably be the very last time.
We are flying down tomorrow afternoon to meet the transporter and will be doing the sea trial and inspection of the Cigarette on Thursday. We'll be home Friday night, so I'll post the outcome and some pictures then.

I still really want that boat HotDuck, I paid a lot of money for a "refundable" sea trial of the boat and didn't buy it over me being pissed off for the situation of the sea trial. I never got the deposit back from Tod, and he didn't even go t jail! I am still kicking myself in the ass for not buying it. I still want the boat, but can't do it right now. Drop me an email to [email protected].

The deal is done and the Apache has been traded to Fastboats. We did the sea trial on Thursday and everything went well. I am still wondering if I did the right thing, but I think that the Cigarette will work out well.

Here is a link to a short video clip of the boat running with the rooster tail starting to rise as we pick up speed. This thing throws a natural tail (no positive trim) just like our Gladiator did.
