Stingray Boats?

Looked at one of those - it was a white 2001 with just 117 hrs. Dealer wanted over 25k...it's still there, too.
Sharp looking boat, very nice set up in the cabin - part of V-Berth opened up, cushions lifted to reveal sink on one side and cooktop on the other. But for all that, there wasn't a lot of headroom - with me being 6'2" it wasn't comfortable.
Like everyone said, probably good for lakes; bigger water on only the nicest days. Cuddy okay to get out of the rain...

Nothing but good things to say about my 2004 220sx with a 350mag, saw right around 64 mph with a full load. Like everybody says the small deadrise make for a rough ride in anything over 1ft chop. Mine was also solid red, made for more time waxing then enjoying it. But a disagree about baja build quality, when I was looking at similair models I though the fit and finish of the stingray was a step above bajas that I saw at the boatshow where I purchased it.

I had a 1999 21' bow rider with a 350 Mag. I put a little B&M blower from Dean Nickerson on it and hurt some feelings. It ran about 70.
I picked the boat up at the factory in a soybean field in South Carolina. Nice folks and the boat was always very solid. No construction problems at all. Deadrise will beat you some if you are in any big water. Thats the only drawback that I saw.

I had a 1995 stingray 658 which was a 21'6" boat with a 350 and a bravo 3 out drive like everone else is saying it is not a rough water boat the one I had was nothing but trouble had all kinds of eletric problems it was in the shop more than it was on the water it would blow fuses behine the dash and then blow the main 50 amp breaker on the engine and then when it warmed up and you were at a idle the engine would die and not start until it cooled down to around 100 degrees
That was the problems with my boat everone else boat may have been problem free but not mine and I bought it brand new This is just my .002

As all of these posts are being made, I would have to agree with the fact that it is a great lake boat, but rides a bit rough in the big water.
Give me a call, I am also a Stingray dealer and I have a 230SX for sale now at a fantastic price.

Where is this boat in question? I assume you are in the east Tennessee area? I know of a couple around the area and one of them you do not want any part of.

Hey Pontiac, i have a 2001 red 230 sx with a bbc 454 runs about 67 in a small chop. I love it most reliable boat ive had. Im looking to just sell it for 20k not trying to turn this in to a classified or anything. Over all good boat runds well more room then you would think in a 23. Rides well has a bravo 3, great for plaining and docks well with the duo prop.
