Default Destin Ramps

Where is the best place to launch a 38 in Destin? I usually stay in Panama City.....but we are doing Destin this May for vacation. Staying for a week in a house with a covered slip. I plan to leave the boat in the water all week. So, if there is a really good ramp with deep water.....it is no big deal if it is 10 miles away from the AJ's area. I will only launch and retrieve one time.

Thanks!!

AS RUNNIN HOT RACING 158 WOULD SAY.....ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the one he is talking about is just over the west side of the bridge from AJ's by a coast guard station maybe?

I think it is the same one. It is easy to see it on Google earth. Joes Bayou looks nice and is very easy to get to from where I am staying. I have a house across from AJ's......I should be able to see it from the pool. IF not, I can definately see it from the boat!! I can't wait......come on May!!

That area is awesome Crab Island is lots of fun even for the whole family. We are going in June. We always stay in the Waterview Towers which is around where you are staying. We use the ramp on the east side of the bridge but we only take a 20 foot jet boat there. We hope to go for Boat Week in August too.

Sweet. I have been to crab island before and it is a neet party hang out. I am not a drinker.....so I will be headed out of the crab around 4 every efternoon to go ride down the coast before the "crazies" take over. I get to burn what I don't spend on alcohol on gas for more ridin time!!

Joe's Bayou is the ramp. Pay attention the channel going in and out. Did you get the house we talked about? Call directions. Joe

Yep, Joe's bayou is a nice ramp but do stay in the channel on your way out!

There's another that's up near Brook's Bridge. It's a state park and another nice ramp. About the same boat ride from either way back to Holiday Isle.

That's a great area to vacation in. Great boating everywhere. We stay on Holiday Isle for the Emerald Coast PR. Great rental properties out there.
