Is this the same 38 cockpit as yours thunderusone?

thunderusone 03-16-2008 04:46 PM

Yes, that was the last 38 ever built.

Liquid Liability 03-16-2008 08:17 PM

it looks like a "migrant worker" may have taken an air brush to that one...does it have thier family name written in bold script on the back?

mikes280 03-16-2008 08:38 PM

Where's the barstools???

The yellow looks good, I don't remember seeing the seat at Cumberland last year.

Hey brother.....I'm queer on that yellow. It is all done now....no more bar stools! Now, if I can get the purple cockpit carpet done before Florida I will be in good shape.

Mike, my seats are not that close together. It is an 8' beam boat.

Here is Eddie..."word to your muffler" Young getting busy with the timing light yesterday after he set my chit on kill!:D

Young Performance 03-17-2008 11:04 AM

That sure is one good looking dude!!!!:D

I'm seeing a little gray hair on top. That's starting to concern me. I'm gonna need some Just For Men soon.

thunderusone 03-17-2008 12:18 PM

Do like me and just keep cutting your hair shorter. I am almost scalped bald......but it looks looks like a light dusting....

Back in my paryting days, I got some just for men for my goat. I was all phucked up when I put it on........the next day, I looked like someone filled in my chin with a widebody sharpie!:cool-smiley-027:

If you don't mind brown hair, you could save a few bucks on the hair dye by rubbing the top of your head on the headliner in your truck. There should be enough tobacco tar caked into it to turn your hair a nice shade of brown....no more gray!!:D

thunderusone 03-17-2008 12:45 PM

Gawd damn Liquid liability........your hourly rate just went through the roof with YPM!

That boat belongs to the world famous mexican importer "Thunder Rodriguez"!:D

That was the only one made with a fajita skillet in the galley! IT also has a pot to cook re-fried beans where the toilet would normally go.

Liquid Liability 03-17-2008 12:50 PM

just trying to save YPM a few dollars and give him a more natural look at the same time.

I dig the fajita skillet, but how do you warm the tortilla's?

thunderusone 03-17-2008 12:53 PM

Instead of Fender holders......it has Chimichanga holders....

Special holders on th flame arrestors.....

Liquid Liability 03-17-2008 12:54 PM

i bet the trailer has full hydraulics so when it goes down the road it can go front to back and side to side....

Liquid Liability 03-17-2008 12:56 PM

About the only thing missing in the cockpit is a chain steering wheel stolen from Cheech & Chong!!

thunderusone 03-17-2008 12:56 PM

He arrives at the ramp and hits the 5 wheel motion with the trailer. He has to do it on level ground or else the trailer will slide into the water......it picks the azz of the truck off the ground when he "5 wheels" the trailer...:D

I didn't realize that you were pushing 98 now, I guess you are going to chase a triple digit number this year?

That's an awesome number for that size and age boat. Congrats.

I did have a detail job for you, but after that remark, I don't know....:D
Give me a shout and I'll tell you about it so you can see if you want it.

By the way, I did make your boat faster, but I can slow it right back down.:D

That is it on the speed. The drives are at their limit....at least with anything that we can come up with. It is gonna take whipples to bust 100mph. I could have a nice bass boat for what I have invested in the xr's with shorties and all the upgrades....props..etc etc.....and never could bust 100 even with 600CI motors. The 97 was with all the interior out, no hatch, fumes for fuel....2' chop.....going down river and one seat in it. That is what Kennyo keeps referring to with the bar stool jokes. I could see it....but just could not get there. I have dumped all the $$ I am gonna put in it with XR's. I am looking at that new drive.....time will tell if that is a viable solution. I am extremely happy with it as is. It will run 90 all day long in the heat with naturally aspirated motors and 3/4 fuel.....bust the hell out of waves and turn on a dime. I have looked at new boats.....but the "old school" continues to grow on me. I really like having something different. I may do some more cosmetic stuff this year. If I can get Deb some swimming lessons, I may be able to take the arch off. She likes to hang on to it when sunning. It is also a great bull chiting post to lean up against with a bad back.....and I watched to much Miami Vice. I have a picture of Don Johnson in my wallet:D

I was thinking the same thing. I am going to have to install one tab on the starboard side to offset my winter girth..:D Remember it all turns to dik after midnight......just ask your wife!

Another 2 degrees of wing angle will compensate.....

I buzzed his office when I read that.....I told him he just chit his nest.....next maintenence from you and his boat's afr will be in the 8's and run 65!:angry-smiley-038:
