21 to 23' CC Recommendations
Anyone have any recommendations on what to look at in this size range? Not looking at new, something older would be fine. There is so many boats to choose from in this size it is incredible. I had a Grady White 20' dual console years ago. Great fishing platform but that was wettest boat I ever owned. Would like to get something that has enough freeboard that you don't fall out of the boat when reeling in the big one.

if you are not looking for speed, but want the finest ride in the ruff for the size boat it is, try and find a used Albury Brothers Boat..20 or 23. It's a old wooden boat design by Willard Albury with todays latest technology. It has a unique bottom that cuts through the wave, and has spray rails that keep you extremely dry. We have a 23, and I have tried everything from GW, BW, Regulators and so on. I wasn't sold on the boat cause it has that old school look, but the ride sold me. Good Luck. Jeff

Why not move up a few feet to a 27......
Take a look at Banana Boat Center Console 27, it is based on the 27 Magnum hull.
We build them in single engine sterndrive..gas or diesel or outboard, single or twin on a bracket.

My folks have a 1994 ProLine 21' with single 200hp Merc OB. The hull slices through waves and the Merc power is troublefree. Plenty of room for two people to comfortably fish and a good amount of freeboard. There's a large cooler with cushion top located at the helm and in front of the console. As you can see, it's a basic boat that gets the job done.
