Make note that Don is the only one in the boat not wearing a helmet.

The complete film shows everyone in the boat starting the race wearing their helmets.

Then there is a sequence where it is very rough and Don and a red 32 foot Bertram Patty Lou of Bobby Rautboard, are side by side for a while and later it goes in close and shows Don with his helmet off.

For the Don Aronow Memorial Race in June, we have our first "Official" starter.

It will be the Formula 233 that Don raced back in 1963. The name of the boat when he raced it and it still is..."The Cigarette"

It is so right that this boat be the first one flagged off to hopefully restart ocean racing again.

It has been totally restored and still is powered by a 409 cu in engine with dual 4's. Super Cool!
