There was 39 plus another 27 boats used for pace, marshal, rescue and card stops.

Is there anywhere on the water you can get 92 octane or do you need to trailer to a gas station...i couldn't find any last season

Yes the East Jordan Municipal Marina has 93 octane. It is on the south arm of Lake Charlevoix.
The BP gas station (on land) in Boyne City has 110 race gas.
