Default Donzi 35 ZR

Hey guys Im looking into a new 35 ZR.. Not sure If I shoudl go with the 496's or 525's.. Id love the get the 525's but not sure if its worth the price increase.

Anyone running a t 35 Zr with 496's and if so do you wish you went with the 525's?

What do people think of Grand Sports Center?? I've heard soem stories but to tell you the truth Im happy with the way I was treated. The whole crew over there is nice and has been very helpful..

Anyone have any info????????

With the 525's you get the Xr Drives vs. the standard Bravo's.
525's = 90-91 mph
496's = 80-83 mph

I think you will see better resale on the boat down the road with the 525's as well.
The 35Zr becomes a driver's boat once you hit the 90 mark. That is where the extra length of the 38+' boat starts to really show itself.

Tom has the speeds right on. I have a customers 35 ZR here now with 496's, he loves the boat and it does everything he wants it to do. He's more of a cruiser than a blaster any how. The 525's are awesome in a 38 also. Do you have a length restriction or just the 35 is what you want?

Here is the big Question? were will you boat (Lake) (Ocean) are there limitations to speed. I have sold many 35 ZRs and I prefer 525s for speed and looks.
BUT Here is the question you have to ask yourself do you want speed or warranty.
525s 1 Year warranty
496/425HP 2 year with an optional 4 year extension.

I have sold (4) 496 boats and all the Customers are happy with them, they all run similiar 82-84mph.

I Have sold (6) 525s they run between 90-94 mph depending where they run.
Remember when you run freshwater you will loose 2 mph of the top.
You will be happy with the 35ZR she is a great running boat and is a good boat to run on Poker Runs.

You can get a 5 year (total) extended warranty on the 525EFI/XR package as well. Its optional on all model Active Thunders. We have a couple sources for extended 525EFI warranties.

If you're open to considering a 38 ZR, there is a great one in the OSO classifieds. I went and looked at it about a month ago, but didn't like the size (head room) in the cabin so decided on an AT. It is as clean as a new one with only 30 hours and has 4.5 years of extended warranty left on the drive train (525's). It also has a 10K set of props on it. I was told 90-92MPH. I would guess that you could get the 38 for about the same price or even less than a new 35 ZR.

By the way, I have no connection to the boat, just think it is one hell of a deal.

The 38ZR sold the day after you looked at it.
