OUTERLIMITS POWERBOAT IS “CHIC” FOR THE SHEIKH IN DUBAI

At the recent Dubai International Boat Show, Outerlimits Powerboats proudly welcomed the Crown Prince of Dubai to the Lake Cumberland Marine booth. The Sheikh was on hand to inaugurate the Show at the Dubai International Marine Club (DIMC) and after the opening ceremony, toured the event, which this year attracted 800 exhibitors from 48 countries.

The Sheikh took the opportunity to purchase a new custom Outerlimits 51 Sport Yacht with triple Mercury Racing 1075 SCi engines. He raved about the Outerlimits brand to Lake Cumberland Marine’s Randy Hartmann, who has set up an ancillary business in Dubai to handle the number of sales conducted there. The Sheikh’s new boat will replace his existing 2007 51’ Sports Yacht with twin 1075’s.

“We have been at the Dubai show for three years,” says Hartmann, “This is a wonderful market for the Outerlimits product as the clients respect the brand and quality and want only the best. We have sold Outerlimits boats to several of the Emirates and thought it was time to open a business here to better serve the market,” he added.

Outerlimits owner Mike Fiore further commented, “Dubai is extraordinary—and so are our boats, so we plan to continue to build our business and relationships here.”

Outerlimits celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2008 and debuted two new models for the year, the 41 Super Leggera and the 43 SV. Like all Outerlimits Powerboats, the new models are constructed of carbon fiber and epoxy, post-cured for durability and integrity and feature the highest level of luxury and performance.

With the slow down in U.S. boat sales the builders who have diversified there sales overseas are doing really well. Good for them and glad to see our country exporting something for a change.

Let me know when you want to open a shop over there. I'll pack up the wife and she can run your computer systems and I'll run the shop.
