Anybody using a Megasquirt system
Is anybody using a Megasquirt system? I am looking into it a an alternative to a Accel DFI or Big Stuff 3 system. What do you like and dislike about it, and what are you using it on?

Megasquirt is an aftermarket DIY fuel injection computer. It is very similar to a Accel DFI/XFI, Fast or BS3 system. One of the big advantages of it over the other comercially available systems is cost. From what I have priced out so far a comparable Accel DFI system is about $800 compared to a Megasquirt system which is about $500. It is designed for people who want to be able to build, install, configure and tune their own fuel injection system. The realk beauty of the Megasquirt is the code the program is written in is open source, so if you need it to do something specific, you can write your own simple program to do it. With the other systems (Accel, FAST and BS3) you have to send the ECM back to the manufacture and have them reflash the box and pay more. It just depends on how much you want to tinker with your system.
