You guys defending SEA-PUKE have got to be kidding me,,, Less failures than the other brands, get real..... If the ceramic washers don't go into the motor ??? Where the heck do you think they go when they blow ?? Then sea-donkey is so cheap they only replace the washers and clean the screen, then the shards that made it past he screen score the oil pumps and your motor goes BOOM, then you can wait 3 months because the oil pumps are on back order...

12K on a brand new 07 RXP, @ 4 hours the ceramic washers blew, ski was down a month, @9 hours the supercharger bearings blew, ski was down another month. Brand new 07 RXT, 2 hours ceramic washer blew.....

Then in an effort save money and claim more performance sea-don't went cheap and lightened the hulls, now large sections of hulls are being ripped off.. All these problems are WELL documented...

Want to spend 12K on junk it's your money,,,, want to be informed go to WWW.GreenHulk.net and do the research..

Nice words Chris, I have never seen the Kawasaki 250X top any speed #'s or sales #'s for that matter, I think each person like's what he likes, but dont bash Sea Doo for thier ski's, they are the top selling and fastest ski on the market. Please dont copy what I wrong and make comments you dont understand. Like the washer comment, they dont always fail and go into the motor, sometimes they just fail and the SC just slips. I really dont appriciat the negative comments!!!!!!!

I had a 96 xp and an 1100 zxi. The xp was alot more fun in my opinion. I had very little trouble with it. My cousin owns the XP now and it is still going on the origanal motor. It is slower than it used to be though.

I've been on the green hulk site for a number of years. I've only had Yamaha's, but plenty of people I ride with have Sea-Dos. I bought my 1300R to mod and have had a great time as it always seems to be a work in progress. My 2003 2-stroke has never had problems.

Like I said in another thread my Charger is being sent out today to have the ceramic washers replaced. Glad I found the Greenhulk site

I have been a Sea Doo guy now for about 15 years with about 10 different skis all of them have been great had a few problems with the RX when i first got it but after that, one of the best all around ski i have had. I have owned two RXPs and both where awesome! I was thinking about getting the new RXP X but I don't know if its worth the money but if its like the RXP but better I don't see how you could go wrong.

As far as issues they all have some in one way or another.

When ceramic fails it means ceramic dust, shards and pieces. Sea-donkey wouldn't issue a recall and kept producing and selling ski's with ceramic washers becuase if they did issue a recall that means they would have had to admit there was a problem, then all the customers they screwed over could file a class action law suit, thats why the 08's have metal washers, that were designed, manufactured and tested by aftermarket companies over the past few years and now come from the factory..... Anywho, Most of those pieces get caught in the screen, the ones that don't go into the oil system and eventually score the oil pump shafts which in turn blows the motor..

But I don't really care one way or the other,, I have watched all my friends go through motor after motor and problem after problem for the past 8 years, you couldn't give me a sea-puke.

I agree. Been there ..done that...never again..and as of last year got p.o'd and went to Kawasaki. The neighbors same thing, both of them..we all trade every 2 years for Sea-Doo's and last year they ended up with Yamaha. The other neighbor got 2 new Sea-doo's..and guess what, the 215 hp one blew up at 85 hours. So now we have on our street 2 Kawa's, 2 Yami's, and he traded 1 of his Sea-Doo's for 1 Honda turbo and kept the other Sea-doo. We ride many HARD hours per year, a failure is not acceptable. Jeff

I understand the temptation, Sea-DONKEY comes out with a New, bright, shiny 255 hp 0-60 monster POS.. Trust me,, they almost had my 13K until my wife slapped some sense into me...

I almost had myself convinced, I'll just put metal washer in it, I'll keep the bottom scratch free so there is no chance of delamination, I wont jump, spin it out, or loose contact with the water so there's no chance of blowing the supercharger...
