Last time we were there we stayed at http://www.douglashouse.com/, nice place with good rooms on the southern end of Duvall, it has been remodeled since we there last. We will be there again at the end of May and just rented a house, much cheaper than a lot of hotel rooms, private pool, 2 bedrooms 2baths 2story, outdoor shower. Seems like it will be a nice party pad. Call these people, it's who we rented the house from, http://www.centercourtkw.com/ --- this is a link to the house we rented - http://www.centercourtkw.com/dupont.htm

I would try to stay in walking distance to duval, cabs can get expensive, plus when you have had enough you can stumble back to the hotel on your own, la concha is good, casa marina is spectacular, you have your own beach ( no bums) the strip club at rick's is the red garter ( newly expanded& remodeled) pier house & alot of little guest houses and motels . EL PATIO , OCEAN BREEZE, BLUE MARLIN ,TRAVELER PALMS. most of these places have their own web sites.

We have stayed at the Key Lime Inn. It is not too far from Denny's, which we all know is a staple of many a drunk's diet.
The El Rancho is cheap, but it is a place to sleep. Really, any place in the general vicinity of Duval street is pretty good. Even the bed & breakfast places that are owned by fa*s seem to be pretty nice. Homos tend to keep a cleaner place than regular hotel owners.

Hell, it is just a little nut. I've slept in worse places.

Would these places also be good to stay at for the Key West SBI/APBA Offshore Worlds in November?
