The hatch on that canoe probably only weighs like 3lbs.
I would be careful. If you put a real hatch-ram on it may shoot the hatch across the lake. :p |

If your gonna ad Bling to the engine compartment you should at least add an actuator so it lifts on its own....I just realized I hae a good dela of trouble typing when I am drunk. That was a chore.

I'm not sure an electric actuator would fit. Every cubic inch of the engine compartment of Slim Lady has engine shoved in it forcefully! Sometimes I think they had to use a torch to heat the hull so it would expand enough to get the engine in.:D

What about billet power hinges?

Masher,
You may just need to measure the Open and Closed length then go over to autozone, napa, pep boys etc... I had a few hatch back cars with bad shocks and that's all I had to do...unless these are special ones.... If you need to pimp I can put you in touch with this guy..... http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fus...endID=39862282 ;) Frank |
Mine now are just the standard small shocks which work good they are just wearing down. Dont need/want an electric one. Just some funky looking shocks.
|
Napa always have a good selection for cheap. Just pull one off and match it.
