This past saturday. I paid $3.849 a gallon for 93 at the car station, when fueling up the
Skater. Gas seem to run about $0.75 - $1.25 higher at marine pumps, to that puts it
somewhere between $4.59 - $5.09, here in SW Florida.

Gota love my Skater with these prices, 100+mph and 2.4mpg.

Tons of pics and tech specs at http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=149139

Long thread, but lots of pics and real world info.

I don't know about Florida but in New Jersey the marina's don't have to pay "road tax" on the fuel they pump...

Theoretically wouldn't that make the fuel 30-40 cents cheaper then on land? Or is it like buying a $3 hot dog at the baseball game?

Gas road tax- Lawyers, you out there!!

How and why do we pay a road tax on Marina fuel. We really shouldn't have to and the water is bumpier than the road - is it not -

American's need to stand up for their rights!

What?

I lived in NJ all of my life until 2002, and remember paying higher prices at the marina. I boated from 1985 until I left NJ, in and around Barnegat Bay.

It never used to be $.75/gal higher. This is rediculous.
