my lovley lady muffs

Hey guys.. can someone give me some instructions on how to safely use the muffs on my inboard..
I don't want to cook anything..
Do I leave it going up to normal operating temperature.

Than:cool-smiley-011:ks.

1.Attach muffs
2.Start engine
3.Verify water is coming out exhaust

Do not run engine at high rpms. Mostly idle with maybe a rev or two.

Do you have bravo outdrive? or are you a true inboard boat??

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...59#post2534059 Maybe we can get all of this together in one place. :D

If it is a true inboard (like a ski boat) the "muffs" look like a plunger with a hose attachment. Put the base around the water pickup, turn on the hose and watch for water out the exhaust. A little tip, dont run the boat in gear out of the water. Saw it done once and roasted a strut bearing.

From another YOLO post:

"Boat is a 1988 Mirage Intruder 22 ft..
came stock witht he 280 hp 350.. now has a Edelbrock perfomer intake carb spacer and Edelbrock 4 brl.. also has those purple roller lifters and rockers.

Has new paint and thru hull exhaust.. OMC outdrive.. cobra.. New gimble, u joints, impeller and both bellows.."

The dude needs to wrap the muffs around the intakes on his Cobra800 outdrive, turn on the water and start her up. The impellor on his boat is on the backside of the drive, accessable through the plastic cover.

You might want to squeez "turn on the water" somewhere in there. :D

I know you are new to the board and everything, but that's just about the GAYEST title for a boat related thread I have ever seen.:grinser010: Not really busting on you, but rather trying to point out that if you want some respect on the board, that IS NOT the way to get it.

Apparently you can live more than once on OSO.
What was the screen name before this one?
I don't even remember it at the moment, maybe Fund does.
You layed low for awhile, and I was about to give you a second chance.
Nope, still a tool.
