Default Need ideas

My family and I were talking the other night about what we would get next if we were to sell our 28' powerplay. We love the boat and its the perfect size for our lake house. (We also just got it painted so we are not doing anything too soon)

It does have a tight cockpit but has plenty of room for coolers etc. We dont want a boat bigger than 32' up there, since its a pain with our dock. So with that being said, the only thing i really could come up with is a used 28 to 32 skater. Any other ideas?

Default Options...

Hmmm, so many options - so little time!

Skater - bad-azz and very cool! 28' (or new 30') with outboards - fast, quiet, good on fuel and oh-so-reliable! Still - small-ish cockpit and no real storage, but some.

The $64k question(s)... how fast do you want to go, do you want to sit or stand, and eggbeaters again, or I/O's?

BTW- didn't answer the last part of your question in your PM - all is well on this end with everyone / everything... just jonesin' to get out on the lake!

No preference on sit down or stand up. Just cant be too much of a pain to get in and out of.

If we did inboards, i was thinking maybe a 32 with 525's sixes and the new merc exhaust....but thats more of a dream!

Pantera has a new twin stepped 28.

I'd step up to a 30ft cig mystique or vice.

Well, since we know this isn't going to happen in the next couple months, let me think about that for a bit. It sounds like the perfect conversation to have sitting on your deck / dock, or mine - at the lake - with a few beers handy.

(hopefully the lake won't be this high when we do...)

If i personaly set a limit of 32' and wanted a good family performance boat...i think i would look for a 32 Active Thunder....
