Donzi.........
|
I've been on the 35ZR and was impressed immediately (after honestly not having very high expectations). VERY nice boat. solid as a rock. I would own one in a heart beat.

A staggered 35 Fountain will beat a 35 Donzi Zr with the same power. A side by side 35 Fountain will be about heads up, especially if there is a good chop. If you go staggered you will loose a lot of space on the 35 especially because it is a small 35.

looking for some opinions on the 35 ZR good, or bad. quality, handling, size, can this boat handle bigger horsepower over the 525's ? is the cabin usable as a weekender overnighter.? How would it compare to a 35 fountian lighting? thanks
Side/side 525EFIs is 92mph+, and will have a cabin bigger than any of the boats you have mentioned. It also has more freeboard than any of them as well. With the bolt on swim platform, its the same if not longer than the 35 Donzi and 35 Fountain. It can be built with side/side front bolsters or split front bolsters; your choice. Some specs: 50" of freeboard at the front windscreen 42" of freeboard at the backseat 67" of headroom in the head at its deepest point (with side entry cabin) 74" long V-berth; 69" at widest point to 22" at narrow point 66" of headroom in the cabin as you enter (deepest point) Here is the latest one: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...d.php?t=186516 Ping me if you want more info. You won't be disappointed. |

Have you taken a look at the 33 Active Thunder?
Ping me if you want more info. You won't be disappointed. Brian, I was starting to worry about you. This thread was 2 days old, and you hadn't flogged the benefits of AT yet. Glad to see you're still around.....:evilb: Just to keep on topic, here is the 35 ZR that is now owned by one of the guys from the NJPPC (Gerry). I was lucky enough to navigate it during the the 2006 1000 Islands with Frank from Typhoon, and we were pulling in boats all day long. With 525's it flys. The second pic is to give TomA something to aim for this year..... :D |

Oh I ment to also say...I love the 35 Donzi ZR...great looks and love the flatter looking deck. I like the looks of the Donzi much better than the 35 Fountain.
