Just got back to cell coverage... Everything going well...
Little setback yesterday crossing a shriimppinnn bot in a canal in SC... Lets say I won't be sending christmas card to that fuc$er!!! But we had spare props so after a lift out and fix took 2 hours to change props and we were on our way again.

BTW anyone doing a trip like this ... get a Boat US membership... The money has been repaid with 5 and 10cents discount per gallon and a pull off a sand bar ...inside the canal mind you, in South of Swanton or something like that SC...

Fuel burn is around 30 gals an hour running around 20-21 knots.

Fuel prices ... I have seen $5.60 in FL but did not buy it and paid $3.89 yesterday North of Morehead City.

Here is the link again... adn I think it is a great tracking deal, specially when you press on Hybrid in the top right for the google images...

Thanks all for looking out for us.

GLH,
What a great adventure! And yes, I've had a run-in with a Shrimp boat on the May river in Bluffton SC. The ba$tards come right up the MIDDLE of the channel, like they own it!

Once you got to Beaufort, NC, you're on the track of the trip we made in our 38 Formula in 2004. A very cool experience.

Was your grounding in Lockwood's Folly Inlet? That's a notorious spot on the ICW.

When you came out of Adams Creek into the Neuse River, you were 6 miles from the lot where we plan to build "the house" in a few years.

I'll bet that the canal from Belhaven to the Alligator River was a l-o-n-g ride in the dark last night.

Did Albemarle Sound kick your ass liek it did me?

If you decide to run up Chesapeake Bay, we can recommend a few cool stops. If you run outside, you're on your own.

You've been making great progress - obviously a man on a mission!

A little "setback". Lets see 3 dudes with years of combined experience, cruising the Seas for days in an incredible luxurious boat and just happen to stop in South Carolina for a little "Southern Hospitality" Ok, if a "setback" is what you want to call it we understand.

Be safe

Looks like he may have run into a delay at the Military Highway bridge. Wonder if CG is withholding permission for him to travel through

Soon, its time time for the crew to make the call to run the outside or stay inside. Forecast, shows rain, 30kt winds gusts etc... Decisions..decisions...This tracking system is great. I've been following the forecast from the time they left Florida and that was the only day with near perfect running conditions.

Be safe....
