...APBA Offshore Looking West
From March Powerboat, page 30:
"Looking to expand its fan base, APBA Offshore is pursuing a race in california for the coming seasons."
""We will have a race on the west coast next year that's 100 percent for sure," said APBA Offshore chairman Michael Allweiss. "As for this year, we have some things in the works, but nothing is for certain.""
Possibilities include: Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Marina Del Ray.

I think that he may want to spend more time trying to get his east coast races figured out first. They still have no info on any of their this year races. Cape Cod is still a quesion mark and even Daytona, just a few weeks away, only gives dates and that is it. Now you tell me how I am sapposed to get a sponsor excited and willing to drop money!!!!
One of these days they will relize the importance of organization and a FIRM LONG TERM SCEDUAL and HOLD IT so that we can commit to races and so that sponsors can commit to teams. Until then it is racing for the rich and that is certainly not me.
