just wait till our elected officials pass Cap and Trade, (which they are currently trying to do) the EPA has estimated it will raise fuels prices by $1.50 a gallon.

People also fail to mention Europe probably averages 3-4 times the unemployment rate that we have. Are they the role model we want to follow?

we need to drill our own oil and build nuclear power plants.

32 cents a gallon in Iran today.
34 cents in Saudi Arabia.

The Chevron in my neighbor hood just raised their price from 4.09 to 4.19 in one day. I thought that after the 4.00 dollar mark prices would start to level off some. It looks as if I'm wrong again. There has to be a point of resistance somewhere. But where? At what point point do average gas consumers radically change their gas buying habits? Obviously we hve not reached that point yet. The price will keep it's current trend as long as we keep buying it.

Last thursday on the way to the lake, they raised the prices $.10 while I was puting $200 in the boat. Im glad I stopped when I did. That would have been another $5.

I downsized to a smaller single to save on gas, and I still managed to burn $400 just in the boat over the holiday.

Having the OSO forum.. priceless. :cool-smiley-027:

If you think the market is bad now, put a Dem in the office, and watch it tank after they jack up the capital gains taxes, as they have been talking about.

I do not want a Dem in office. I refere to the overall incompetancy (sp?) of the Gov. to solve domestic issues.
We... the US/Gov. spendig way to much efforts and resources abroad and catering to low life illigal alliens, and special interests groups not allowing exploring offshore drilling and alt. energy. DEm. or Rep.. as far as I'm concerned the whole Gov. .. the system... dosn't seem to work.
To much politicing, not enough guts and balls to do the right think. .02

Right on! $.02 That's all we're going to have left pretty soon if we don't change course.
