Congrats guys! Great win... now lets paint that boat, see you later in the week, and don't drink too many with our your partners in crime to bail you out.

Well, we made it back in last night about midnight, we left miami at 5 am and drove straight through.spending that much time in the truck with someone, both Dave and I were still laughing and talking about how much fun this weekend was. the people, the race, the comradery and boating in South Florida was a blast. In my first post I thanked a couple people but there are a few more, first and foremost is Glassdave, I couldn't have asked for a better wingman for this trip, it was a well needed vacation for both of us and as many laughs as sbrt in lake Champlain. Brad, Charlie, Larry and so many others that made and invested their time to pull this off, congrats on a job well done. I got some time to meet Mrs. McCarthy and Mrs. Lucky strike and they did a great job of keeping the paperwork in order and always did it with a smile, thank you ladies.
Now for the race...WOW, open ocean is friggin cool runnings, once you lose site of land, humility sets in and it lets you know that in the ocean we are insignificant, although we had perfect running conditions, I can see where it could change in and instant. then to be able to pull out a win was amazing, to anyone else thinking of running the HORBA events I say do it, you gotta play to win. I got a chance to talk with Bob Saccenti for a bit and what a character, thanks for the advice Bob and my offer still stands...We will be back on the bay this weekend
