Here she is ----- 36 w/ 1075's & Stellings.... Skater!!!!!!!!!!

The only name coming to mind off the top of my head is, "Speeding Ticket"..... and before anyone gives me a hard time --- no, I am not very creative with the whole boat naming thing --- and no, I was not the one that came up with "Offshore Cowboy" for the Ciggie! :party-smiley-020::party-smiley-020:

Out of the mold, painted and heading to the wet sanding crew! It's looking like the first run will be the always nasty-rough Chicago Poker Run!:eek:

P.S. More pics to follow......

Thanks guys..... I must say, it was a tough choice moving away from Cigarette. But, I think the cat will be a whole new kind of fun.

...And thanks to BLee (and riding with him in Chicago --- smokin' everyone to the 1st card stop except JLee in his 46 Skater), I previously was having difficult deciding between a 36 & 40 ------ thinking I preferred the ride of the 40, yet not excited about such a big wide boat (trailering, docking, launching, larger engines, more maintance etc...). Brandon make it an easy sell....... Thanks, bro!

Joe 06-23-2008 02:55 PM

names???????????

500drvr 06-23-2008 03:00 PM

I always wanted to name a boat "Mr. Period"

rlj676 06-23-2008 03:00 PM

For those of us that don't know you, some background like occupation, etc, could help spur the creativity.

Oh, and your boat is looking bad ass.

sommerfliesby 06-23-2008 03:06 PM

SAAAWEEEET! Looking forward to seeing it in Chitown! But don't worry...it's not ALWAYS rough..just the past two years...the first year of the run was very nice. This weekend the lake was like a millpond...see Brad Zastrow's video of the MTI @ 160 mph.

lucky strike 06-23-2008 03:06 PM

" Think twice "

Great lookin' boat Joe..... Best of luck with it.

Sounds like BLEE's skater disease might be "CATCHING" or even "CATAGEOUS" :D

36 yrs. old; live in Houston; have owned several different businesses in different industries; have always liked fast cutting edge things etc.... ABSOLUTELY HATE BEING BOATLESS at the moment!!!

Thanks. I am excited. It's fun to see the progression each week --- but the flights to Chi are getting old FAST!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. This is my first experience with Peter L., Chris, Steve and the rest of the Skater Clan. Wow!!! I can't begin to tell you how great they all are. I have never seen a group of folks that are so much on the same page of 1) building an amazing boat and 2) having such integrity and care for their clients (and people in general).

I like "Catch Up" as well, assuming people wouldn't think "ketchup" when saying it.:D

Yeah, I had heard that, but never believed it until a week ago when we ran a 40 Skater out there. It was nice --- only 2-3's:eek:

P.S. I had no idea you had such a sense of humor until hearing your "briefing":D before the run! LOL....

not a big/fast enough boat for that one I don't think.... Maybe for the orig. owner of Brandon's 36, Chris J, who now ownes that bad azz 410 w/ 1500's. It's a monster --- esp. with the 10" stretch!!!!! It just gobbled up the lake at 100 MPH + last week.

pkspx 06-23-2008 03:23 PM

The Cig is gone!?! You just built it last year

NASCAT 06-23-2008 03:26 PM

Very Nice!!

Actually, I took possession on 12/30/06. Time flies, but unfortunatly, the Need-for-speed seems to move even quicker!!!!!!!! :D

pbam22 06-23-2008 03:33 PM

You're clearly in a fast crowd if you're not "fast enough" for that name. I get your point though.:cool-smiley-011:

My eventual boat will be the "Keep Up", but will probably not break 80 for insurance reasons. It's a play on my last name Jones, but would work better if faster of course.

I think "Categeous" was fitting then.:drink:

BY U BOY 06-23-2008 03:38 PM

I like

You did great last time... "Offshore Cowboy" was a hit! Beginner's luck? Or, do you have one to top "Catageous"? :D

Am I sensing something here... Public enemy/Beak Killer???? Hostility issues?

rlj676 06-23-2008 03:55 PM

How 'bout "Cat Magnet" if you don't mind bordering on lewd?:cool-smiley-011:

thisistank 06-23-2008 03:55 PM

Joe, congrats bro! Thought the insurance issues were going to keep you from a cat...Glad to see not.

Where's the Gun now?

And for names....

I like...."Hire Synergy"!!! Write it off baby!:D:drink:

Thanks!!!!!!!!! I'd love to make it, but I think it'll be too tight of a venue.... unless we hit the props and drive spacing dead-center on the first try. I'm betting we will need that week to finish getting the boat dialed in. I hope I'm wrong....

No pressure Matt & Julie (Throttle-up)!!!!!!!! :drink:

baddogz28 06-23-2008 03:57 PM

I don't know if you're an Uncle Ted Nugent fan, but that looks like a candidate for "Cat Scratch Fever" to me.

Nah Catageous is a great name.

No hostility issues here:D

Still can't believe you got rid of that piece of art Cig.

Catalist
cat nip
Cig smoker:D
Flight plan

baddogz28 06-23-2008 04:00 PM

Public Enemy and Cig Smoker are good, although I think Cig Smoker's a little strong. :)

I believe that is already taken...

I have always liked CATEGORY 5 for a cat but think that is taken also

Havasu '09 bro!

Yo!!!!!!!! Man, it seems like forever since the Miami Run. Miss hanging out w/ you guys!!!

Offshore Cowboy went to New Jersey. The new owner is a really cool guy, about our age.

FYI - Sold HireSynergy. So, keep thinking...... and don't say, "Write-off". I'm sure my attny's would love for me to name it that!

As always.... No invitation needed ---- Remember Havasu '06 when I bummed a ride w/ you to the Sandbar!!!!!!!

Havasu '09 for sure. There is NO WAY Bullock would let me miss that one!!!!

Give me a ring if you're making any of the right coast runs before KW. We will always find a seat for you. Especially if you bring Kelly! hehe..... But, remind her what the word "small suitcase" means! LOL.....

Yeah, I bet I'll have no problem getting a date with that one. I can already see the look in their eyes! LOL.... But, yes, otherwise, I like it!

gerritm 06-23-2008 04:12 PM

Joe, beautiful boat! Look forward to getting passed by it on the bay. I don't think any of the local beaks will be able to keep up with it.

Chris J (SkaterChris) just registered that 41' with the 1500's this morning for BoyneThunder. He has a matching F650 and tilt trailer. I can't wait to see that thing. You should bring that up and join him for BoyneThunder and then go down and do the Chicago run the next weekend.
Was Connie C's new Skater done yet? She is bringing that up also.
