Wait - wait - wait .......

85 MPH is DOUBLE DIGITS. I think we need a username change.

WTF is this 85 mph thing ??? I thought this whole deal was 100 mph ??? Hell, he claimed 104 once before. What did I miss ? When did his boat suddenly turn into an 85 mph ride ??
Hell, my old POS 22' Baja would do 83 on gps. 85 is not impressive.

Can someone please explain ??

And wtf is Rich Lurs ? And how can he make the boat faster just by riding in it ? WTF ????

I am not showing up for a 85 mph pass. If you want credabilty and you don't want to take the boat to 100 and the boat is capable then with your permisssion I will drive the boat beyond the 100 mark. I have no fear of running a small boat over the 100 mark and you don't need Rich Luhrs to achieve this I was APBA top drag 1972 @ 125MPH on a circuit track and like I said took her to 145 in a 21ft Stevens. I started with a 10 ft GW Invader and smacked a 115 Merc on the rear and ran 80+ before the bottom tore off. My 22 ZX with 7lb boost pulley pulled 92 and with a 5lb pulley ran every bit of 85 so. We also had a guy that had a 16ft SEA RAY thats right SEA RAY that had 700hp with an alpha that ran 88mph so 85 is not worth my time effort or my trouble. I need to see better then 93 as you claimed to pass the Poker Run Boats.

By the way if you can't run triple digits your name should be changed to Double Digits!

Any pictures? I have a 10' Bonanza with a modified 50 Merc on it. Had a GW but sold it. Best I've seen is 58.

Your original claim was 104, what is with this 85 mph BS... Stick to your original claim! Now that your claim has caught so much attention your trying to back peddle and lower the bar... The bar remains at 100.01 either reach it or STFU already

I've waited 3 years for this, a few more months is no big deal.

But now you have to think my some mircale of God I pull off a 85 mph pass Im faster then most Donzi zx 388 hustlers Cigs so on and so forth. Life is good

If your boat can run 100 plus then just do it,your giving all us guys with smaller rocket boats a bad name. If youcan run 100 and do it in that 22 foot boat you got some serious balls. Let me tell you something,My 272 Baja is probably capable of running just over a hundred with my smallest blower pulley BUT I ran 98-99 mph last year and it put the FEAR in me,I have lost all desire to go that fast in my boat again due to self preservation. I'm running a set-up this year that will get me to the lower to mid 90's like I previously have and calling it good. I have done what I wanted to do and I'm not out to prove anything to anybody. You on the other hand, you say your boat runs 104 and have something to prove, then PROVE it. You show up with some 85 mph set-up with a bunch of fairy-azz exscuses you will prove only one thing and that is your a punk with a loud mouth, they will rename you from "triple digits" to "double digit midget",Smitty
p.s-buy a gps for yourself and you'll know how fast your boat actually goes without all the drama
