I bet he is a no show, and or doesnt do as claimed....

bouyhunter 06-28-2008 06:00 PM

I agree, but where can I put down a little on this??
I got $100.01 to put down to say it ain't gonna be +100.00.
I'm not playing the 85 game.
All or nothing.

I'm with Bouy on this one, I got a benny and one abe jr. that says it wont do 100.01mph :ernaehrung004:

Who is taking our action?

getchasum111 06-28-2008 06:40 PM

no way he will show up....can't wait to hear the excuse....

Chris Sunkin 06-28-2008 07:39 PM

Nobody would take the action- he's not going to show. He showed his hand already-backing away from the 100mph mark almost immediately.

I'm just calling the bluff.
There it is.
$100 with the serial number showing, and the Abe jr. is a 1999 mint.
Who wants to step up?
In a twisted way I hope some one takes me up on this and I lose.
I'll be the first one going to Tipple Digits and be asking advice on how to set up my boat.
So, where are all the "registered" members that have been touting this??
I'm calling you out.
85 doesn't count.
+100, just as you claimed.
Money is on the table.
Step up.

bouyhunter 06-28-2008 08:12 PM

Chris - please change your Av.
It's scaring me.
It feels like anywhere I go in the room, the eyes are still focused on me.
Like that painting of Jesus.
But in an evil way.

Chris Sunkin 06-28-2008 08:26 PM

It's just a reminder that Reggie is everywhere. We should all drink the KoolAid, buy Fountains and sing songs of joy for our lord and savior Reggie.

I'm gonna' find one of o'l Reg crucified on the Fountain circle of lightning... or is that the real crown of thorns?

You're usually not this deep.
Something to think about.
What is the modern day translation of Barabas?
Baja?
Where's Fund when you need him...

Chris, How do you like my new sig line? :evilb::D

I would suppose if you want to see if he could hit his mark, than perhaps set the wager with him to make it worth it...

I could see him giving it all its worth if money was on the line...

Remember, he is a street racer that races on bets... :ernaehrung004:

I will go out on a limb here.... :D

He'll be there !

I also got word that 1 and possibly 2 other boats are looking to come race him.

1 from NY and 1 from PA. Let's see if they show up !

It could get real interesting.... :ernaehrung004:

TD could make some good money, or he could lose it all... ;)

Tim,
I already posted my money - pic included.
I've yet to see anyone else step up.
I figure I have nothing to lose. I'd pay $100 to see that he can get 100mph out of that boat. And if he does, I'll applaud.
But I'm not paying a Abe jr. for any less.
My money is on the line - but I've yet to see anyone that is willing to take the line - so far, my money is safe.
What's your confidence level?
I don't mean to call you out, and don't take it personal. Please don't take it that way. I mean it with respect to you.
I'm just not seeing anyone that is willing to back this guy.

85 is nothing. TD set the bar.
Less than 100 - all bets are off.

Perhaps TD has some people scratching their heads... ?
So many are confident he will not do it or even show up for that matter but as I said, TD is a betting man. If there isn't enough on the line to make a winning pass to make some money, he just may not do 100. He will wait until the pot gets sweetened...

As far as my opinion, I know some history on the man and had installed his phone lines at his previous shop. I got to see what he engineered into a sleeper of a black Firebird that raised the hair on the back of my neck. We got discussing boats and I learned he used to work for Al Copeland. How often did you ever see Al Copeland's boat in the back of the pack? The guy was down to earth. I learned he has since sold his shop. So this Sting Ray project has nothing to do with any business of his as I first thought.
From just what I know and seen, I believe he can run 100 and maybe more.

Just remember, the project took 3 years with a stock Sting Ray and an Alpha drive with a small block. He hasn't posted all of the modifications he had done. Perhaps some people will pick up on them in the photos. He has had some major players involved with this project as well which may come out at a later date.

And to think this all started when one of his friends sandbagged him and his brother on the water one day and he lost the challenge. That's where it all started...
So this is nothing more than a vandetta with a friend of his for getting beat. He is looking to now do the beating... :D

Chris Sunkin 06-28-2008 09:53 PM

You'd be WAY further ahead to just no-show than to post an 85.

And yes, 85 IS nothing, TRIPPLE DIGITS

Maybe nothing for the larger drives, but is anyone else getting this out of an Alpha ?

Apparently he managed to re-engineer the drive to survive his big power, and shortened it up as well...

Personally, I can't wait to see what this boat looks like in person... :D

You're right, 85 is impressive.
I'm runnning (or when I get done working on her) a 24/7 Pantera. Motor should Dyno this week, and I don't even expect 70 when it's all said and done.

BUT - I didn't get on the biggest international offshore boat board and start claiming "Triple Digits"
I guess we'll see tomorrow morning if you can break the century mark.
My money has been on the table, and no one has taken the bet yet.
Not even one of your "registered" bandstanders.
Quite honestly, I'd love to see you hit the hundred mark, and the $100.01 is yours - but no one has stepped up.

Im a man of my word I will show and run my 85 mph, I have bigger fish to fry. How do I know this isnt some deal that one of the people that want to race me are trying to find out how fast I realy go? Every body talks about how 85 isnt anything but yet still nobody shows up to race my slow 85 nothing boat. Do you know how many 388 huslter Ive raced Baja's Donzis I've raced and beat them. It just doesnt make sense to me. The even funner things is I will be there tomorow with my boat NOT hidineg behind a pc going how fast is it and OH if it doesnt go 100 mph its nothing. I will take my nothing and race alot of boats. See I aclty have a boat there are some on here busting my nads that dont even own a boat any more. Save your money Boys

bouyhunter 06-28-2008 10:14 PM

YOU said +100
That's 15 mph low at 85.
That's also about 200 hp - as a rough number.
YOU set the bar.
Anyone want to bet me??
+100 or nothing.

tripple digits 06-28-2008 10:21 PM

I would have thought people would have been impressed with a small block on pump gas and Alpha in a little boat going so fast, but I guess not. I know alot of you think im this or that if you realy read all the post I have like to guys that hound me for 3 years and they follow me and wait for me to post just stir the pot. If any one of you every got to know me you would be so taken back, I help so many people, you see a P.Oed side of me because I get tired of Well if you dont have trim tabs you cant go fast or if you dont have a big block you cant go fast, or if you do not have a bravo you cant go fast. +100 or nothing.

If it was me and I am a betting man I would have a bet if I showed then if I aclty put it in the water and run it, then I would have if I go over 70 mph all the way up to 100 mph, now thats just me

bouyhunter 06-28-2008 10:30 PM

Where's vnemous????
He's been backing this up.
I'm just looking for a friendly $100.01 wager that can be paid off in a beers.
Just trying to keep it fun.
No one is taking me up, and I'm gonna hit the sack soon.

Unless we shake hands here on the board, my deal is rescinded.
You have about thirty minutes to step up - otherwise, you're a punk (sorry, I'm reaching to the Stecz level).
TD isn't even stepping up himself, and it's his boat, and his engineering.
We'll see if he step's up tomorrow morning.
+100 or nothing.

No buddy, It's all or nothing.
You claimed +100, not anyone else here claimed it, you did.
90 = A
85 = B
75 = C
But this is only off your original claims of this particular boat.
You set the mark at 100, let's see it done.

Jesus dude! Hasn't anyone told you when you're in a hole to quit digging.

The only thing you might do is set a record for doing the backstroke.

Trippy, I hope you are reading this after your run this morning...

You set the bar, now jump the fvck over it, or drag your sorry a$$ back to your Mom's basement.

Run 100.01 MPH not because there are bets on the line, not because some other boats came out ot race you, but because you said you could.

100.01 of not.

Like I've said repeatedly.. Who gives a flying f.uck?

This isn't engineering school where pointless technical exercises mean something. This is a website about recreational boating. Personally, I think TD is one stupid SOB. Instead of spending several hundred thousand dollars trying to get an Alpha to live at big power, he could have simply bolted a Bravo onto his boat and been done with it.

This is offshoreonly.com, not scienceillustrated.com. And TD is FULL OF $HIT.

Here was the excuse-

didn't want to go faster- then everyone would know how fast he really was and he couldn't get anymore money races.

What a tool.

Sure you can...

If I put a 36 pitch on my boat I wouldn't be able to spin it and I would go about 20MPH.

Take 10 pitches off of that and make it a 26 and I can double my speed- gaining well over 20MPH+

Send me my $100.01 please....

:p
