My dad had a heart attack
 

Well thursday my dad closed the company down for the weekend and went to the beach with most of my family. I had a doctors appointment at 10:rolleyes: for injections in each shoulder, and did not want to drive in to cape traffic to meet them. instead I went to Knot Right GERRY to look for a spot for the dingy and left my cell phone in my house on the charger. my dad went swimming and when he got out was not feeling good his left arm hurt and he thought it was from swimming. So he went to sit in the car and after a while my sis saw he was foaming at the mouth and out of it. so 911 came quick got him stable at the local hospital then shipped him to Boston to MG one of the best. I have been there all day today with my family waiting to see whats next. In 93 he had a major heart attack quad by pass and several stens put in over the years but hes tough at 74 and will have surgery on monday it looks. On the good side he is on the 11th floor perfect view of the FIREWORKS from his window which is hugh, to night. we were there for ten hours today and my mother needed to go home and rest, I almost stayed with him put my knee was getting bad and if a new patient came in I would have to leave with no ride. We lost my father inlaw last year so I hope my dad stays stable and doesn't have another one before monday. he feels better which is good and he laughed when I put my mother in his bed next to him. but I don't know how many stens you can get he has them in the chest and the last one was in his neck. well I wasn't sure to post this thats why I didn't last night I was a mess and Thanks GERRY for calling to day hope you guys have a safe trip back from BLOCK ISLAND, he said they were 8 to 10 footers out there to day. So please put a lil prayer for KEN my dad when you go to sleep to night. I am staying in close to the phone just in case. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO ALL THE OSO BROTHERS AND SISTERS .good night. ARTIE

I am not someone you know, but I hope all goes well with your dad. If he survived a major heart attack about 15 years ago, he must be blessed with a strong constitution. None of us know our final destiny, but stay on top of your dads care in that hospital, and hopefully you will enjoy his company for many more years. I hope so.

Air Time, any update on your father?

Hi thanks guys he needs surgery and maybe a pace maker his heart does a tripp beat sometimes and he has old damage from the 1st heart attack back in 93 he was 58. I didn't think he would make it this far but he has which is great. so 1st the angeoplastic [sp] if I am saying it right and spelling it:rolleyes: would be the done then they will know how many stent tubes to put in. last time theone in his neck they lost him in the O R . So its a tuff operation for him to have. he wanted to paint his house next week too:rolleyes:. I told my mom no last week, I will get a friend or two. What sucks is for the last ten years I have been waiting for that phone call that hes gone, even though he still works at the shop everyday behind his desk, goes on vactions down south to swim he is like a fish:D 2 months ago on the beach in fl my mom said he was gone for 3 hours but when its time to get out of the water he has troubles with his knee so they watch for him and help him back to the chair. we try to get all of us together a few times a year to get away even local places and its fun. if he and my mom make it til nov they will be married for 51years which A LOT OF US THOUGHT NO WAY, my mom rough shape but tough to she may need a knee replacement like me but I told her to wait and see if I think its worth it cause its a big operation and could kill her heart. I will post back sunday monday after the surgery going to spend the day tomorrow playing games in his room maybe cards for money:p, wait I don'thave any to loose. thanks I will see if I CAN PRINT these pages for him thanks again. artie ps hes like me and hates to use his cane!!

well my dad was going to the OR this morning and they checked his kidneys again and there not a 100% so they can't put the dye through his system so after not sleeping last night [me]we have to wait until the drugs work on them to clear for the dye test to see where the blockage is and if they can put a stent in not shunt:hitfan: I think I said yesterday. So I am praying that the drugs work for him so the kidneys won't fail. once that happens your on the machine for life:(. thanks for the hopes and prayers. he got a lil pissed at me I read off my tests for my cholesterol was 297last time it is 247 now /triglycerides were 453 now 172 which is getting better with no drugs hdl was 42 now 48. so I am going in the right direction. I hope tomorrow they will find the blockage and can fix it with a stent and not bipass surgery thanks again ps the nurses said she has never seen a more up beat family in there, I said its just a mask so he does not worry about us and mom its tuff after we leave or talk on the phone with him some times. thanks artie
