21ft and 135mph....

Not my boat, but these guys have built a few of these now, one with a 1075 Merc was running around 120mph, but this is a whole different level

Force F1 "Armed Force" Leaving for the USA this Force is powered with the same record breaking engine as Sudden Force. The PFM (Priest Family Marine) Engine is a 1700 Turbo Charged Intercooled, 555 cubic inch Chev Block. After testing ....the recorded speed of the day, at only 60% throttle, was a whopping
135 mph....Now that's got to make your eyes water!

bouyhunter 07-06-2008 08:16 AM

Kinda cool seeing a #6 on that thing.

Scott B 07-06-2008 08:17 AM

The tabs are cool to...

bouyhunter 07-06-2008 08:28 AM

If that thing pulled up along side you and wanted to run, you'd probably laugh and hit the sticks.
Wake up call.
But that's part of the difference between an alpha and a #6.

bowtie 07-06-2008 09:00 AM

Wow, not even a Sting Ray?

outriggers 07-06-2008 09:07 AM

I must be getting old, I can just picture getting out shape at over a 100 in a 21 foot boat. I think I would like the sound. Doug

DollaBill 07-06-2008 09:53 AM

Thats what a certain guy we know needs. Not mentioning name................................... :)

BLAZE 07-06-2008 10:02 AM

Stupid:rolleyes:
But cool

Waterboy123 07-06-2008 04:07 PM

the are actually "quite" stable, I personally have been 110mph in one Did I forget to mention that there is usally two skiers hanging on at that speed with a 200ft length of rope, while racing down a river that has 170 bends in 80 miles.... Does that get your pulse racing yet??

Waterboy123 07-06-2008 04:11 PM

Here is the earlier version, without the built in rear sponson's this one is running a 1075SCI merc and #6 Drive, still good for 120mph...

my00b16si 07-06-2008 05:23 PM

Thats one hell of a skiboat. i have hit the water @ 65 and felt like a train wreck i couldn't ever think of 120+:angry-smiley-038: any video of these in action?

BlackJack58 07-06-2008 05:33 PM

What's a 1075 Merc run ($) these days? This is pretty incredible, but that's some major dime to be putting in back of a boat like that. I mean - that's some SERIOUS "sh*its and giggles" on the lake...but was it a one-off project...built from bits 'n pieces...or what was the owner's original intention? Would be interested to know what they were aiming at. Love the "AUS 1" on the side, though. I'm sure...:D

dmaxx3500 07-06-2008 05:44 PM

merc prob built it for some skiboat speed records, thats got to be 100k of eng and drive

Perlmudder 07-06-2008 09:17 PM

i likey!

Go Big 07-06-2008 11:15 PM

These boats are built for ski racing. Over 100 mph skiing is very common. This sports is making a comeback. These are not one off's these are standards.

Waterboy123 07-06-2008 11:44 PM

These guys are full blown race boats, definitely not a through together, the top of the line boats would be running close to 200k build cost, i.e no joke.

Here is a video of one running a 4.5L Twin turbo Nissan V8

Waterboy123 07-06-2008 11:49 PM

here is another with the skiers, you get to see how windy it actually is, this boat would be running around 100mph maybe a little over on the straights

Used to speed ski when I lived in Oregon. Crashed at just over 100 once. Knocked me out cold. Am still sure I hold the record for stone skipping. :D:D

Back in the late 70's, early 80's, there was a company call Performance First Marine which built turbocharged marine engines, and used the same initials PFM.
