I'm good I with drives and transom plates, In short had issue with one of my 502's so basically weighing the options on buying a long block 502 and having one fresh 502 and one with 450 hours on it, or replacing/upgrading to 496's, I think it will be better for resale as I do have the boat listed for sale right now.....
Please call or PM me when you speak with your boss please.
Thanks Patrick

So I got phucked on a couple of engines. I have new ones now that have been trouble-free for almost a year.

Be careful about continuing to poke me with a stick about that......I just might start a thread in General Discussion asking if anyone knows what happened to that Active Thunder at the thunder on the bay poker run.

Sorry about your luck Pat, I blew chit up on the last four 4th of July weekends. Maybe that streak is over!

I have a few questions that I need help with:

If I decide to buy a set of 496HO motors to replace my 502's what major challenges if any that I will need to worry about from a cost (if I need to start buying extra parts to make this work) and then a labor perspective.
Do these bolt right up?
The difference in Size of motors an issue?
Exhaust that comes with 496HO motors is there an issue with the "Y" down pipes between a 502 and a 496?

I probably have more but just trying to weigh all my options to get the ball rolling on this.
Thanks in advance, Pat
