100th APBA Gold Cup cancelled
 

Looks like they just cancelled the finals of the 100th running of the APBA Gold Cup in Detroit due to weather and course conditions ...

I know just down the road it is windy as hell

We were there ,, bad show all the way around ,, The parking was bad ,, the shuttle service was bad ,,, the food was fair quality , Bad,, the racing was bad,, the OSS presentation was very, very bad,,, they ran around the course at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and the announcer was giving a race play by play ,, bad,,, and then it rained ,,, bad,,::cool::D

The military Jet fly by show was good as always !!!!

yep, we just left there. we had a great time running the offshores at the event. What a great crowd! They were able to get some heats off this morning and yesterday in the Unlimiteds and all i can say is WOW them things can turn. the turn at the Roostertail was unreal. Its crazy tight in the supercat i cant imagine carrying three times the speed through there. :eek: Thanks to all for a great event.

well sorry our efforts ruined your day Roger. I actually had a fantastic time and am happy to be a part of the event..

Sorry I missed your call buddy our HOG chapter had a big ride this weekend and we got to test our rain suits today.

OSS had NOTHING to do with the Offshore Boat demonstration at the Gold Cup. This was an Offshore Pro Series / SUPERCAT RACING event.

Actualy it was an OPA sanctioned event as far as the offshores were concerned.

Hope Stan and Al Jr can get things worked out for some of us to head to Nawlins. I will do my best to make it.

Dave,, it had nothing to do with "your efforts" , I am glad you and your's had a great weekend ,, but 1/2 throttle is still not racing ! I stand by my previous thoughts !
