Picked up 2 Mustang inflatable life jackets today, plus another 10K pound rachet strap. I'll be all about safety on this trip.

Hope you guys brought some heavy lines to tie the boats off. There's friggin whitecaps in the intercoastal this morning. Been blowin like a biotch all night.

That's a good question redline. We usually stop at the Oasis truck stop in Alabama. The trucks are usually due for fuel about then so we go ahead and gas the boats too since it's only another hour and a half or so to the beach. However, I'm sure we're going to need to refuel at least once while we're there so...Originally Posted by redlinecat

We're heading out in the morning too and, don't you know, everything is going to hell in a handbasket at the shop this morning. Wanted to get out of here early today to get some last minute things done but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

To hell with it. The hired help will have to hold the fort down till Monday!!

So y'all usually tow empty and gas up over there? I was going to fuel up in Hammond just because I know the Mobil truck stop there has cheap prices and I get a discount on Exxon gas. Figured that was easier than trying to find an Exxon I can get the boat into down the road.

). Here is the view outside this morning. Pretty quiet water but the wind is definately blowing. I imagine it will not be too bad for the boats once tied up as we are in the back of Destin Harbor off of Gulf Shore dr...... Fyi, Dominoes delivers until 12pm thank goodness, but i could not find a hooker and liquor delivery service in the yellow pages. Guess i will have to do it the old fashion way...
