Default ILMOR 625 or 710?

I know both are awesome engines,
so is the 710 worth the extra buck's?
What are the differances....?

I've owned 2 cats both w/ Ilmor power, 1st had 625's now
710's. Both are good solid & reliable packages. They look identical & use the same consumable parts (belts, hoses, filters etc)

The 625's are Dodge Viper Assembly Line Built & the 710's hand built!

2007 Pricing

625 List Price= $63k w/ Teague Platinum Drive, Sportmaster Lower & HD Transom Assy.

710 List Price=$77k w/ Teague Platinum Drive, Sportmaster Lower & HD Transom Assy.

I know you can buy the package for less but ultimately you can see there's roughly $14k difference for 75hp more.

Just curious, I have a set of 625's now, what kind of performance gain did you see when you went to the 700's?

A solid 16mph but we are comparing a Spectre 32 w/ 625's to a 30' Skater w/ 710's so I'm not really sure thats an apples to apples comparison. The Skater is lighter w/ a bigger tunnel.

Agreed, thats why Ilmor has developed their own Dry Sump Drive due to be released by Feb '09 at the Miami Boat Show.

Testing to date has been outstanding.

Man, I wish I played the lottery and than won the lottery. The first thing I would buy would be a set of Ilmor 625's.
