Can someone please explain to me why this boat owner calls this thing an "Apache" Chief? What qualifies this POS to be called an Apache? Did he drive it past the Apache factory once on the trailer?

The MIC "IME" doesn't show up in any reference books I've checked.

That rigging in picture 21 looks like @#$%^^!

It could of been painted at Mcmanus ? There are a few hull that were built of that brand( don't remember the name) The strakes stop half way up the hull. It was a copy of a 60's race boat

I never knew a cable can take out the bolsters seats, by un bolting them, drivers side interior and grab bars, while still splitting the back of the boat and side.

My guess is the boat was in an accident and the guy is claiming a lift failure for insurance.

My 2 cents

What exactly does this mean:

Rigged with Lake X Marine (Mercury hi-performance test center) motors sporting over 360 dyno horses per motor.

The 300 XSi Merc's

They look like stock 300XS. What are 300XSi?

The "I" stands for Imitation. :evilb:

That boat looks like it's been dropped off a trailer or a sling. We had an old cable lift like that when I was really young. It broke a few times but never did THAT much damage.

If one side fell, the boat would twist as it fell until it struck the side vertical piling that holds the hoist, I could easily see that a twisting fall could do this damage.

Our first hoist was 10,000# for our 28' Twin BBC boat and can tell you that it always felt like the hoist had all it could handle with that rig even though it should have only weighed 9500lbs full of fuel. Replaced cables (upsized them also) as well as pulleys and bearings after 2 years. New hoist is supposed to be 24,000# rated but I would not want anything more than 15,000# on it just because I do not feel that they give these things enough safety factor.

the glass bonding the deck to the hull didn't bond:grinser010:
