FYI -

Oil those lift cables twice a year with regular motor oil. It will extend the life of the cable significantly. If they dry out it put extra stress on them.


I finally figued it works after going threw a set of stainless steel cables every two seasons.

the guy forgets to mention that the cables failed during a hurricane and they found the boat 7 miles away hanging from a palm tree.
