I found a 27' Fountain I am very interested in buying, however it is a repo boat sitting in the yard. I have been trying to work with the marina (key word is trying), and they are now telling me that the previous owner is working out a deal with the bank and they are just holding it in storage. I am not 100% certain that I trust them and would like to figure out either what bank or who presently holds the title and try to work a deal with them. All I have is the HIN number, the registration numbers are not on the boat. Can anyone on here help me track the owner of the boat with just a HIN? I have tried the police, DNR, Secretary of State, Boat Fax, and as a last ditch effort I requested a report from the Michigan government.

I appologize for making my first post a request but I really want this boat and am getting desperate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How about contacting a boat repo company, they may be able to help you get some info (for a fee)
