Yeah...I wouldn't put too much stock in their quote. Just for kicks, I ran mine through the boatus tool.....I'd say it came out about 20K too high.....however if anyone would really like to give me 53K for my boat I'd sell it by dinner!!

this argument could go on forever,

truth is the market sets the price you can buy and sell a boat for

for the buyer, you are going to pay what you think is a good price, hopefully a bargin in this market, but if there are 5 of the same boats on the market
in the style you like, and the owners all are priced close to each other, you can start throwing out low ball offers
but if no one budges, well then thats the market

for the seller, you can price your boat to be close in price to comparable boats, but in this market of slow sales, be prepared to keep it for awhile, SO to truly stand out in the crowd
you need to be the guy with the smokin deal, because everybody looking is going to use this price as the benchmark
and yours is sure to be one of the first to sell

the unfortunate part is that some people cannot afford to sell lower, as they probably owe a lot more than the boat is worth

right now if you are selling you dont want to be that person

and if your buying you may have to look at different models
in order to get that smokin deal

side note for sellers: beware as things get worse, the first thing to go before the house is the boat, and the banks DO NOT want boats, therby selling them under market and nada values,, WAY under, and we know what happens next, as we are seeing it in home prices

Yup I give up,

I guess were crazy, yes we will give more on a trade if the boat has options?? I mean, a trailer is still a trailer? Again I stress I am not talking about retail on options!!!

As for adding them if they are standard I agree, no they should not be added.

I stand by my point, I bet when you all got to sell your boat and you paid 50K in options, you will feel their worth something? If not please come trade the boat with me
I will happily not give value for a trailer, AC, Gen, power Bolster, blue motors, and on

Will,

I'm speaking from the dealers perspective. As far as blue motors, they SHOULD have them or it's a big deduction, not addition.

Example.

Guy wants to trade an '07 42 Executioner. I will assume it has 525's and a trailer. Don't want to scare anyone with numbers but if it DOESN'T have 525's I'm dropping value by at least 30-40K. No trailer? Then I deduct the COST of a NEW MYCO.
